United Airlines and Chase Introduces New United Quest Card

Another partnership between Chase and United Airlines will launch the new United Quest card. On March 21, United credit card holders’ accounts will automatically be transferred to the new credit card.

The old United Platinum Class Visa card will be discontinued and replaced by the United Quest Card. The credit cardholders got a notification of the upcoming transition, which included information about the new United card.

The United Quest Card has a $250 annual fee. However, here are the benefits that cardholders can expect:

United Airlines and Chase United Quest Card

  • Receive $125 annual credit on United purchases.
  • Earn 3 miles for every dollar spent on United, 2 miles for every dollar spent on hotels, select streaming sites, and all other travel, and 1 mile for every dollar spent on anything else.
  • Earn up to 10,000 miles when booking an award flight. Receive 5,000 miles for the award flights that you book two times a year.
  • Get credit for your application fee for Global Entry or TSA PreCheck every four years.
  • Enjoy priority boarding and premier upgrades on award tickets.
  • Get insurance on travel cancellation and interruption, plus reimbursement for travel delays.
  • Get free first and second checked bags.
  • Get 25% back on in-flight purchases of food, drinks, and Wi-Fi.

If this credit card update applies to you, but you don’t want to have the new card, you can opt to cancel your account or request a separate Chase United credit card. Though, you won’t be qualified for the welcome deal.

The companies have not given any details yet on when the card will be available for new applicants. For interested applicants of the United Quest Card, please note that it is subject to Chase’s 5/24 rule. Chase will only accept the applications of those who have opened more than five credit cards in the previous 24 months.
