Telecommunication services provider Bharti Airtel announced Sunday it has partnered with Bharti AXA Life Insurance to offer a new prepaid plan with life insurance cover. The latest prepaid bundle, which was dubbed by Airtel as the company’s most affordable yet, is valued at ₹179 and comes with a built-in life insurance cover of Rs 2 lakh.
“The Rs. 179 recharge will offer one of the simplest and most accessible platforms to hundreds of millions of Indians to financially secure themselves and their families while staying connected on Airtel’s world-class network,” said Shashwat Sharma, Chief Marketing Officer, Bharti Airtel.
According to the release, the new prepaid bundle comes with unlimited calls to all networks, 2 GB data, and 300 SMS. The pack also has a validity of 28 days and is designed for entry-level smartphone users and feature phone users in semi-urban and rural markets.
“It will give these customers a simple and highly convenient channel to secure themselves and their families financially every time they recharge their Airtel mobile numbers,” the statement added.
The latest product is available to customers aged 18 to 54 years old, with the policy promised to be immediately delivered digitally to any Airtel retail store nationwide. Customers who also wish to have a Certificate of Insurance can have a physical copy upon request.
